REQUIREMENTS FOR THE
'CERTIFIED COMMERCIAL SPECIALIST'
DESIGNATION 2008
Attend These 5 Mandatory Classes Below:
• Contract Law Multi-Family Apartment Sales (3 Hrs)
• Real Estate Legal Issues in Leasing Commercial Property (3 Hrs)
• Commissioner's Standards in Commercial Land Sales (3 Hrs)
• Contract Law Negotiating Commercial Contracts (3 Hrs)
• Agency Law Affecting Retail and Office Properties (3 Hrs)
Attend 3 of the 5 Classes Offered Below:
• Industrial Property Disclosures (3 Hrs)
• Fair Housing Issues in Negotiating Business Sales (3 Hrs)
• Agency Law in Commercial Real Estate (3 Hrs)
• Analyzing Investment Properties General Credit (3 Hrs)
• Contract Law Drafting of the Commercial Lease (3 Hrs)
Costs of all classes are $35 each. Individual classes may be audited, without AAR credit hours issued, by students who have proof that they have taken an individual class from Ron Campbell within the past 24 months.
Successfully take and complete a ‘Comprehensive Exam’ with an over all score of at least 80%. Re-takes are permitted. Exam cost is $75.
Submit 3 Commercial Real Estate Transactions in which you were either the Listing, Selling or Leasing agent or co- agent. We suggest you include a HUD-1 Closing Statement or signed lease, together with either a signed brokerage agreement or purchase contract which indicates your successful involvement, specifically naming you as a participant in each transaction.
Submit a resume of all transactions within the past 24 months with ‘client’ contact information and cooperating broker contact information, allowing us your permission to contact any or all of the above to verify your involvement, integrity, and trust.
Submit an ‘Application for CCS Designation Candidacy’ with a $75.00 Application and Review fee which includes a 2 year membership in the designation program. To maintain membership status, you must complete at least one (1) Renewal Course every two (2) year to keep your designation and/ or candidacy current.
If required, sit for a formal Oral Review, prior to your final acceptance as a Designee.
The Certified Commercial Specialist educational program has been approved by the Arizona Department of Real Estate and meets the Commissioner’s concerns regarding “Agents and Brokers selling Real Estate outside their area of expertise”.
All instructors have been approved and accredited by the Arizona Department of Real Estate, and each and every Class being offered has been accepted and approved for continuing education by specific ‘category’ as listed above for a full 24 Hours of Required Continuing Education Credit in the State of Arizona.
